Start your love life off right in 2014! As we are wrapping up 2013 and start making our New Year’s resolutions, it is essential to leave some habits behind. If you think your luck never changes in terms of finding your happily ever after, consider my advice and resolve to kick these common dating habits to the curb in 2014.
STOP Making a Persona:
Stop trying to be someone you’re not and channel your inner quirkiness. If you are yourself right off the bat, you have nothing to hide.
STOP Sticking to One Type:
Try new styles – go out with someone who isn’t your typical type. That will help you expand your interests.
STOP Making Dull Choices:
Expand your palette – trying a new dish on a date or exploring a different part of town for a date could help you ditch your comfort zone easier. New experiences also tend to bring people closer.
STOP Dating ‘n Dashing:
Don’t just scratch the surface – really try to get to know someone before you write them off your dating list. Or give someone you wrote off before a second chance, you never know how they have changed over the year(s)!
Keep the conversation positive – we all have a lot going on in our lives and but that doesn’t mean that the person you are getting to know should be informed of this information.
Lastly, if you are looking for love and are serious about settling down, it is absolutely necessary that you make dating a priority in 2014. Accept invitations to parties, resolve to try a new activity, and be positive. Positivity can go a long way and you’ll instantly become more approachable. Put yourself out there—you never know what great things will happen when you take a risk.
