Peter (40) was a single dad to 2 young daughters and looking to get back into the dating scene. Since his divorce two years ago, he was set-up on dates thru friends but just didn’t find that “click” with anyone. A co-worker of his recommended he try It’s Just Lunch and he came in for an interview. He was successful, hardworking, confident, a good father and had a good sense of humor. We coordinated a date for him with Suzie (35), a single mom to two young boys. She worked in Management and was social, intelligent and fun loving. As a single mom with a career, she didn’t have a lot of time to herself, but wanted to get back into the dating scene after her divorce and decided to try dating with us.
We coordinated a date for Suzie and Peter for a drink after work on a Thursday night. We liked Suzie for Peter…he was looking for someone petite, smart, someone with good Christian values and someone who was family oriented. Peter also enjoyed going on long bike rides on different trails, an activity that Suzie also enjoyed. Suzie was looking for someone authentic, social, a “guy’s guy” and someone who valued relationships, definitely characteristics that described Peter.
Their date was over 3 hours and they exchanged information. Over that weekend, they exchanged “too many texts and emails to count”. Peter’s feedback on the date, “It was fantastic, the best first date I’ve ever been on…she’s everything I’m looking for and I can’t wait to see her again.” Suzie was equally as thrilled, “It went really well! We’ve been in touch ever since, I think he’s a great fit for me….we’re planning a bike trip for our next date!”
A few days after we got their feedback, they both called back to place their membership “on hold” while they dated each other exclusively. Our office was excited to add another heart on our “Relationship Wall” and we wish Suzie and Peter the best!
